Born and based in South Korea, Lee Jung Woong is the masterful creator of the ‘Brush’ series of paintings. They stand as a metaphor for the harmonious co-existence of East and West. While the brush used for traditional Chinese Calligraphy stands for Eastern traditions, the hyper realistic style of painting represents Western art characteristics. Lee’s exquisite skill in the synchronisation of the opposites of East and West culminates in an absolute state of tranquil harmony. Through these and other qualities, the Brush series silently depicts the inner power of man.
