Brahma Kumaris Welcomes All Here for Meditation Research

Brahma Kumaris Welcomes All Here for Meditation Research
20 11月 2025

The All Here meditation researchers, Monika Stasytytė and Rodrigo Elizalde, have returned from a World Meditation Labs visit to the Global Retreat Center in Oxford, administered by the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University UK.

This visit builds upon our June meeting with the esteemed Sister Jayanti, Additional Administrative Head of Brahma Kumaris, which led to a shared statement to inspire more people to meditate.

…….

During their time at the Global Retreat Center, the All Here research team conducted Quantified Meditation (QM) sessions with residents to study how meditation influences brain activity. The reception was deeply inspiring — practitioners were engaged, open, and curious about the scientific perspective.

QM sessions began in the early morning, at 4.00 am, a time when the mind is naturally most silent and stable, reflecting the discipline and depth of the practice.

During discussion sessions, residents explored and reflected on the scientific approach to meditation. These conversations highlighted a fundamental perspective: understanding meditation intellectually is as essential as practicing it — an idea that strongly aligns with our team’s approach.

…….

The team also presented recent work from the World Meditation League, including highlights from October’s Tokyo Quantified Meditation Challenge, and introduced Zenbu Koko, All here’s mixed-reality meditation platform both of which sparked curiosity and engaging discussion.

This collaboration demonstrates how traditional contemplative wisdom and modern neuroscience can evolve together, enriching one another in the shared pursuit of deeper understanding.
