On 24 and 25 June, we welcomed our esteemed guests Dr. H. R. Nagendra, Chancellor, and Dr. N. K. Manjunath, Vice-Chancellor of S-VYASA University, Bengaluru, to the All Here Quantified Meditation Institute in Geneva.
Since 2023, our organisations have joined forces to advance the practice and scientific study of meditation and heightened states of consciousness, often described as Samadhi in ancient Vedic texts.
Meditation, Samadhi, and Scientific Research
Our guests meditated alongside All Here Founder Erkin Bek, entering advanced states before taking part in extensive scientific discussions with All Here Chief Scientist Prof. Christoph Michel and researchers Dr. Chuong Ngo, Monika Stasytyte, and Dr. Lionel Newman.
The discussions explored the science of Dhyana and Samadhi, the importance of continued research, developing publications, and the connection between yogic theories and practices and emerging scientific evidence.
XR Meditation Technology Platform
Dr. Nagendra and Dr. Manjunath tested and experienced our immersive XR meditation platform, followed by a presentation from All Here XR Creative Director Dr. Loup Vuarnesson.
The application of modern technology to meditation is an important area of shared interest, offering new ways to inspire modern society to meditate.
Meditation and Brain-Computer Interface
It was especially meaningful to welcome Dr. Nagendra and Dr. Manjunath for brain-activity recordings facilitated by All Here researchers. They witnessed the live visualisation of mind and brain activity in real time using All Here’s EEG-guided Brain-Computer Interface technology.
They tested different practices while monitoring simultaneously processed and analysed electrical brain activity through time-frequency analysis and dynamic neuroimaging tools. This led to lively discussions about the potential of such technology for meditation training and research.
World Meditation League
We also discussed the recently completed Geneva Meditation Challenge, the forthcoming Tokyo Meditation Challenge, and plans for a World Meditation Challenge in India — further strengthening the foundations of a global meditation movement supported by science and technology.
From Switzerland to Japan, India, and beyond, All Here and its partners are building a global circuit of Meditation Cities.
Joint Statement
The visit concluded with the signing of a joint statement reaffirming our shared mission: to support meditation as a transformative practice for human consciousness and help make it accessible across all levels of society through modern science and technology.
Inspire to Meditate — with Science and Technology.
