On July 11-12, 2024, the All Here team, in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), hosted Prof. Misan W.D. Kim, Prof. Hyeongdong Park, and Prof. Jiyoung Park from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Center for Contemplative Science.
This collaborative meeting was an opportunity for the teams from All Here, KAIST, and EPFL to exchange insights into their ongoing and future research projects. EPFL shared their studies on presence hallucinations, autobiographical self, out-of-body experiences, and meditation neuroengineering. The director of KAIST’s Center for Contemplative Science, Prof. Misan W.D. Kim, provided a detailed overview of the center’s mission, core values, ongoing projects, and vision. Prof. Hyeongdong Park delved into the fascinating topic of how breathing causally impacts readiness potential, while Prof. Jiyoung Park shared insights into important aspects leading towards the globalization of meditation. The All Here team introduced the Institute for Meditation Research and Technology, showcasing their latest findings and research on understanding practices and neuro correlates of meditative states. They also presented the cutting-edge developments of mixed reality for inward contemplation.
This meeting not only fostered collaboration but also reinforced All Here’s commitment to expanding its network and staying engaged with the global scientific community.
