Japanese National TV Reports on a New Era of Meditation with Zenbu Koko & Tokyo Quantified Meditation Challenge
Fuji TV’s FNN Live News Alpha took viewers inside the Tokyo Quantified Meditation Challenge and Zenbu Koko, revealing how meditation can be both timeless and technology-driven.
At the Challenge, the audience were invited to witness meditators performing live, watching participants’ brain activity displayed in real-time on screen. The live data visualization transformed an ancient practice into a measurable, observable—and even competitive—discipline through neuroscience.
Alongside the Challenge, audiences encountered another technological breakthrough: Zenbu Koko, whose name— ‘All Here’ in Japanese—reflects the immersive journey it offers. The XR meditation platform has beendeveloped in collaboration between All Here and Kengo Kuma & Associates (KKAA).
Reporter Uenaka captured the Zenbu Koko experience firsthand: “I’m seated inside a dome… Each panel unfolds, revealing nature before my eyes”. As the platform synchronized haptic feedback with visual landscapes, he reflected profoundly “it’s a time to step back and observe myself.”
Designed with renowned architect Kengo Kuma, Zenbu Koko combines the roles of an educational tool, scientific instrument, and artistic expression, serving as an engaging technical bridge to inward exploration.
As the broadcast noted, the global meditation market is projected to exceed 2.6 trillion yen (approx. US $16.7 billion) within seven years.
